Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead pricing and preconstruction efforts for high-end commercial and retail interior renovation and fit-out projects across New York City. This role is responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates and supporting bid strategies.

This position suits a highly technical estimator with strong NYC interiors experience and a deep understanding of construction costs, logistics, and sequencing in dense urban environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for interior renovation and fit-out projects

• Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural and construction drawings

• Develop conceptual, budget, and hard-bid pricing

• Analyze bid documents and clarify scope gaps

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing

• Support bid strategy, value engineering, and scope reviews

• Maintain historical cost data and estimating benchmarks

• Assist with project handoff to operations after award

Requirements

• 7+ years experience estimating NYC interior renovation or fit-out projects

• Strong knowledge of commercial and retail construction systems

• Proven ability to produce accurate, competitive bids under tight deadlines

• Deep understanding of NYC market pricing, labor, and logistics

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Experience with estimating software and Excel-based takeoffs

• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
